ANYONE CAN SHINE: BOOTBLACKING FOR EVERYONE
This site has been created to provide information and education about the craft of bootblacking for people of all levels of experience and interest. The Bootblack Community is a vibrant group of men and women in the Leather Community who are well-known for their skill and expertise at the care of leather, both their own and that of their clients. But the skills possessed by bootblacks are not obscure secrets or arcane knowledge. Bootblacking can be learned by anyone who has an interest in keeping their own boots and leather in top condition. It is to this end that this website came about: to give everyone in the Leather Community (and even those outside the Leather Community) the opportunity to develop their bootblacking skills. Hopefully, this website will reinforce the notion that with just a small amount of education, anyone can develop their talents—Anyone Can Shine!
